SPRAWL-UP

IDEA: Public use is an important factor for people in İzmir. While designing a vertical campus with a range of public activites, the interpretation of the program is very essential in means of making an accurate solution for private-public relation. The design creates public lines spreading and rising into the building and a private line in the tower part.
CIRCULATION: There are two main circulation system. One of them is the main vertical core in the skyscraper part giving access from car park to design studios and administration.Other one is the public linewhere the access is from public places to production places. It also converts into a interaction line around the building while giving another access from different floors.
VERTICAL STRATEGY: Design studios and administration part are located on the upper floors of the tower, while common spaces (auditorium, exhibition halls, library and restaurant) are designed as convertible, flexible spaces by giving access from ground floor spreading through upper floors of the building.
